A RECAP OF OCTOBER EVENTS
FIRST FRIDAY COFFEE AND CONVERSATION:
October 6 brought together friends old and new. As always we enjoyed socializing and the tasty food provided for hospitality.
The class was well attended with 40 in attendance. It was interesting and informative for the newbie and for those who already were using smartphones. Another class will be held next year. Watch for complete details to come.
FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN:
Fifteen members from Pax Christi and many young people served for two hours packing enough food to feed 75 children in Haiti for a year. Haiti is a country with much suffering. A miracle seems to happen to these starving children after they eat the meals of rice, soy, minerals and vegetables. All gathered after the work to pray over the full boxes that they may safely reach the needy children. Later, all gathered for lunch. April 16, 2020 will be the next Feed My Starving Children event.
Below is a list of upcoming events planned for the 2019-2020 year:

A short synopsis of the play:
Eden Prairie High School Theater Department presents: Guys and Dolls, a musical comedy set during the Depression. The play was one of the greatest successes that the Broadway theatre has known. First produced at the 46th Street Theatre in 1950, it was originally described in the program as a “fable of Broadway,” ran for 1,200 performances, and netted more than twelve million dollars—a lot of money back then! It was later purchased for motion picture rights and cast Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, and Jean Simmons in the movie’s leading roles. It will be very exciting to see the version our local high school students present to us.
